How to register for Mass online

28 May 2020 – We have put together a guide for those who are still learning how to navigate the online booking system. Please click on the relevant “Download” button.

Masses to resume at Star of the Sea & Corpus Christi Churches

16 May 2020 – Good news! Star of the Sea Church & Corpus Christi Church will open for public Masses on Monday 18 May 2020. However, we must follow certain guidelines for parishioners’ health and safety.

Following Archbishop Costelloe SDB’s directive, only 20 attendees may be present in the church at any given time. For this reason, we have introduced a booking system so that parishioners may register for the Mass of their choice.

This serves two purposes. Firstly, we are able to collect the names and contact details of attendees in accordance with government regulations. Secondly, we wish to avoid turning parishioners away at the church door when full capacity is reached.

Please note: if you are part of conducting the Mass (as a reader, choir member, acolyte, usher, etc.) you are NOT required to register for Mass.

Fr Marcelo & Fr Rodrigo thank you for your cooperation and understanding, and look forward to welcoming you back to church.

However, if you are unable to attend Mass in person, please rest assured the faithful continue to be dispensed of their obligation to attend Sunday Mass. You may continue to watch Mass online or on TV.

Closure of St Mary Star of the Sea & Corpus Christi Churches

24 Mar 2020 – St Mary Star of the Sea and Corpus Christi Churches are no longer open for private prayer. All public Masses, and other gatherings for prayer and worship, have been suspended. The churches will remain closed until further notice.

This is following Archbishop Costelloe SDB’s directive on 23 Mar 2020, after Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the closure of all places of public worship for the safety of the community.
